The Sieltec pool filler provides the ultimate in worry free pool water level management.
Low pool water can be detrimental to the health of the pool pump system, causing the introduction of air in the suction line and ultimately causing the pool pump to run dry. It is not uncommon during summer months for the level of pool water to reduce by 6mm per day. The Sieltec automatic pool filler takes the concern out of leaving a pool unattended as it tops up the level to ensure low water is never an issue.
In many regions in Australia pool water topping up restrictions are understandably imposed creating an added level of complexity in maintaining pool water levels. Often the ability to top up a pool can only take place at certain times of day or on certain days of the week. Further restrictions may only allow the filling of pools on odd or even days of the month. Whatever the restrictions are in your local area, the fully programmable Pool Filler can accomodate those conditions.
As Australia is the worlds driest inhabited continent, we realise water is a very precious resource and the cost of water is increasing. We all have a responsibility to use water wisely. Pool owners must ensure water levels are maintained, while equally ensuring that the pool does not overflow and allow water to be wasted. The Sieltec automated pool water filler provides peace of mind in ensuring pool levels are maintained without any possibility of overflowing by forgetting to turn off the hose.
The microprocessor controlled Sieltec Automatic Pool Filler takes the concern out of maintaining correct pool levels by testing periodically and raising water levels when programmed to do so. The programming function can set when the pool filler operates. To absolutely ensure that any malfunction will not cause the filling operation to overfill the pool, the duration of testing and filling can be programmed. It is recommended that 10 minutes per day is enough to top up the average sized home swimming pool. Some days no water will be used to top up the pool and other days it will. Simply set the time of day you would like the automated pool filler to operate and set how long to operate it for. Perhaps in your location, pool filling is allowed on certain days of the week, say Monday, Wednesday and Friday. No problem, simply program the pool filler for weekday operation and set the days accordingly. Alternatively in some locations pool filling may only be allowed on odd or even days as dictated by your house number. Once again, no problem as the odd or even function can be enabled and odd or even selected to allow pool filling to only take place on odd or even days of the month. The Sieltec automatic pool filler provides peace of mind to pool owners who don’t want the constant concern over pool water levels and want to diligently comply with local regulations regarding any possible water use restrictions.
Some households have existing valves for a watering system. Often several valves are installed on a watering manifold with a primary valve connected to mains water and secondary valves for each watering zone. The Sieltec Automatic Pool Filler has two 24 volt valve outputs to handle these existing installations. If only one valve is required, simply ignore the second output.
Here is a great chance to install the pool filler as the pool is installed. The filling point can be simply an irrigation pipe to a water feature, for example a water fall, or it can be installed into the return water line from the output of the filter to the pool. In either case the water enters the pool at a relatively low pressure point until the water level is sensed to be the correct height. The valves turn off and the Automatic pool filler sits dormant until the next programmed time to check levels again.
Perhaps a tank is used for topping up the pool. No problem as the valve output can simply operate a valve on the tank. If gravity feed is not possible, the second output of the controller can operate a water pump from the tank to the pool.
We have become aware that these days water is a precious resource and we need to do our part to conserve our precious drinking water. Pool owners are all too familiar with the gurgling sound of the water level being too low at the skimmer box. Then out with the garden hose and hopefully top the pool up reasonably quickly. Sometimes depending on the location, the available time for the owner to top up the pool doesn't comply with local water restrictions. Perhaps the low water is noticed on a day that is not allowed for pool filling.
Maybe the hose is topping up the pool and the owner is called away, causing the possibility of the pool overflowing and wasting water. Any of these scenarios can be avoided by installing a permenant way of handling low pool water.
Going on holiday or being away from home on business can also cause anxiety as the pool level needs to be maintained. Someone needs to be asked to keep an eye on the pool water level for peace of mind.
It is a great feeling to know that low pool water will not be a problem and all existing Australian regulations can be catered for.
Sensing the wate level can vary depending upon the installtion. For instance, some pools lend themselves to having a simple condiucotr at the correct water level in the pool. This simple method allows the single wire to be installed at the correct height provind a very reliable sensing system.
In other cases, a capacitive sensor can be installed onto a return pipe to the pool and the level of the water in the pipe provides the water level feedback required. Either way the Sieltec Automatic Pool Filler can be setup for reliable, hassle free, long term operation.
